THE FIRST-VISIT GUIDE

Your first chiropractic visit, without the guesswork.

If you have never visited a chiropractor, knowing the sequence can make the appointment easier to plan. Here is how to prepare for a conversation at Seiler Chiropractic Clinic.

01

Before you book

Call the office and briefly explain the reason for your visit. You do not need to diagnose yourself or give a long clinical history to a receptionist. Ask whether the practice is appropriate for your concern, what appointment times are available and what information it wants you to bring.

Confirm current fees and insurance participation. A listing on an old website or directory is not a reliable substitute for a direct conversation about billing. If your coverage requires a referral or other step, check with your insurer too.

02

Make a short note for yourself

Write down when your concern began, what changes it and how it affects your normal day. Include prior treatment and questions you do not want to forget. A brief note can help you be specific when you meet the doctor.

Bring a current medication list and relevant reports if the office requests them. Avoid sending private health information through a social-media message or an unapproved form. Ask the clinic for its preferred way to provide records.

03

Paperwork, conversation, examination

Seiler’s published first-visit process begins with new-patient forms and a consultation. The doctor then recommends an examination. The office describes posture and hands-on assessment along with appropriate orthopedic or neurological testing, with imaging considered if warranted.

An examination and treatment are not the same thing. Ask what the doctor has found and why a particular next step is recommended. You should have an opportunity to discuss your preferences and questions.

04

Leave with practical clarity

Before leaving, make sure you understand the proposed next step, any appointment arrangements and the likely costs. Ask how the plan will be reviewed and what to do if your symptoms change.

If you need time to consider a recommendation, say so. The purpose of the visit is to understand your situation and make an informed decision, not to meet a timeline set by a website.
